General Information

Common Questions

What should I bring with me?
1.  If available, a 'Referral Document' and radiograph (x-ray) provided to you from your dentist for your endodontic evaluation.

2.  Insurance card and subscriber information, including date of birth, social security number, and employer name and address.

3.  iPod or music player and earphones for you to enjoy your favorite music during the procedure.

Will the treatment be painful?

We will take every measure to ensure that your procedure is comfortable or pain-free.  If treatment is needed, we will inject a small amount of anesthesia to gently numb a concentrated area of your mouth.  For most patients, the feeling of numbness usually subsides within 2 to 3 hours after treatment is completed.

If desired, our patients can request to be asleep during the procedure.  We can provide an on-site licensed anesthesiologist to assist us with providing treatment.

Will I need to return to your office for follow-ups after the procedure is finished?

Yes, for most root canal treatments, patients should return to the office between 6 and 12 months after the procedure is finished.  In addition to specific treatment instructions provided during your appointment, our office will call to remind you when you are due for a recall appointment.
